Blue Heron Season

From late winter through early summer, the nearby heron rookery comes alive with returning males, elaborate courtship displays, nest-building, and the arrival of newly hatched chicks. Guests who visit during this time often plan trips specifically to experience this rare, intimate wildlife moment along the riverside trails.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Rates reflect the privacy, riverfront location, and thoughtfully equipped nature of the cottage. Stays longer than one week may include mid-stay cleaning at no additional cost. Optional services and local rentals are available nearby and are not included unless noted. Taxes and applicable fees are calculated at checkout.;

• Winter: Our most peaceful, introspective stays—perfect for writing, resting, or simply watching the river flow.

These natural rhythms shape the guest experience, and our rates are set to remain fair, transparent, and aligned with what each season uniquely offers.

No Cleaning Fees—Ever

Unlike many rentals, Riverfront Cottage does not charge a cleaning fee. Full professional cleaning and turnover are included, because hospitality should feel generous, not transactional.

The only additional fee is for guests traveling with pets.

Pet Fees that Give Back

At the end of each year, we donate a portion of accumulated pet fees to local wildlife and habitat organizations—including groups that help protect and preserve heron nesting environments along the Willamette River.
